Another birch trunk

When I was shooting the birch trunks the other day I got a couple of shots that I really liked.  I couldn’t decide which to post, so I’m doing both.  This is the second, the first one is here.  What I like about this one is all the texture on the trunk with the peeling bark.

    I think I liked the other one the best. :) That’s what I love about birch trees, though – the peeling bark. It was always so fun to peel when I was little.

    Liang – Thanks! I might just turn this into a tree trunk series. :)
    Elizabeth – I like the first one better, too, with the golden canopy above it, but I like the texture on this one. Wish I could combine the two.

    I like the angle of the tree, too–the way it leans from left to right drawing my eye both up and across the photo.
