P.S. I’m moving

ps-i-love-you

Yep, I’m moving my blog to it’s own domain.  It should be ready to go by the weekend (probably Sunday), so come back then and look for more information.  I hope you’ll follow me over there.  I will have more thoughts and information to share when I get there.  In the mean time, I’ll still post here for the next couple of days.

P.S. I loved this movie!!  Now I really want to visit Ireland.

Texture

lamp-base

Don’t you love texture?  I do!  There isn’t anything really exciting about this shot – just a lamp base at work, but I really like the texture of it.

Happy Friday, everyone!  TGIF!!

Shades of Gray…Grey

office-weeds

I’ve been playing with the title for a little while.  Back and forth, back and forth. Grey.  Gray.  Grey.  Gray.  I can’t decide which spelling I like better.  Both are correct.  Why does the English language do this?  I like things to be black and white.  Shades of grey…gray…whichever, are confusing.  Although, if this was strictly a black and white world it would be pretty dang boring.

Which is your preferred spelling?

That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”

Farm thingie, part…finished

farm-tool-whole

Well, the bosses left the office for lunch yesterday – FINALLY, so I got my camera out and took a few shots of the whole contraption that is this farm tool.  There is a piece of wood missing from that top section – you can kind of see the groove where it would fit.  My guess is that you would load that top section with the corn, crank the wheel, which moves the bottom two pieces, causing it to sort the corn through the grates somehow.  I really need to see this thing in action with some actual corn, but that is not going to happen.

Curly Ques

curly-ques

I wasn’t able to get a shot of the farm thingie yesterday (too many people) so today we have a shot of these curly que thingies.  Yes, more thingies.  Thingies of a different type and class than the farm thingie, but thingies none the less.

Farm thingie, part four

farm-thing-4

This shot should give you a better idea of how the previous three images go together.  You know, this is the chain that goes around the wheel that…does something.

This was not taken with the Lensbaby, but it does have some pretty good depth of field, if I do say so myself.  Yay me!
