That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”

I like your carefully focused feather. The bit of sharpness gives us the detail and the impressionistic rest of the feather lets us fill it in mentally.
The effect, much more succinct than my comment, is simple but every effective. I’m drowning in words here! 🙂
A pleasant pheasant feather……
Now say that ten times without stumbling Ha ha
Neat shot, Toni
Feathers are pretty, feathers are miraculous and they look good on or off the bird
Someone else who loves Dickinsen. Her poetry fills some little hole of loneliness inside.
I like how you used the lit background to highlight the little individual lines on the feather that lock together.
Makes a lovely image and I like the words you’ve put with it.
excellent BW shot with neat composition on the DOF! Leafy indeed!
great focus on feather, nicely done Toni …
My daughter would love to add this feather to her collection.
Love the DOF it really makes you take notice of the stripes on the area that is more focused.
I love the black and white for this feather — looks like a pheasant tail feather. Great quote to go with it!
