Silver and Gold…

chocolates

Okay, the gold isn’t really gold, but chocolates wrapped in a gold colored foil.  And you can’t really see the silver, but the chocolates are sitting in a silver dish and if you see the one little bit of bokeh clear at the back of the image, well that’s the silver.

Lamb Chop

lambchop

I got this cute little stuffed lamb at Bath & Body Works a couple of weeks ago – kind of a gift with purchase type of thing.  They had cute little black sheep and cute little white sheep.  I almost went with the black sheep – it’s kind of a rebel thing, but at the last minute I switched.  This little white one reminded me of Lamb Chop from my youth.  Do you remember Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop?   I loved watching Lamb Chop.  Now this was way back in the 60’s, so a lot of you are probably way too young to remember.  That means I’m way too old.  Now days it is Mallory Lewis and Lamb Chop – Mallory is Shari Lewis’ daughter.  It’s nice to see the tradition being carried on.

The moon and the stars

kitchen-stuff

The moon is obvious; you’re going to have to look for the stars in this photo – they are there!

Last weekend I went around the backyard taking photos of bedding plants and trees, this past weekend I went around the inside of my home, as well as the front yard, looking for something interesting to shoot.  That’s why we had the stack of books a couple of days ago, dust and all.  Life as I witnessed and shot it – right, John?  (I’m going to remember that one.)  I like these decorative bottles – their shapes are interesting and filled with colorful things.  Unlike the books, I did manage to dust these bottles first before I shot them.

This little piggy went to the market

Pike Place Market Pig

Looks like it’s a mommy pig.  That would be a sow for all you city folk.

Another Pike Place Market market

Balsamic vinegar

I don’t know why I didn’t buy a bottle or two of this stuff.  They had different flavors of balsamic vinegar, which I love anyway.  I guess I’ll just have to go back.  The photo is a little out of focus, but the market was extremely crowded and I must have gotten bumped.  Yeah, that’s it – I got bumped!

Special posting for Elizabeth

Space Needle at night

Taken with the camera on my Blackberry, because I forgot to grab my camera – can you believe it??  It’s a little blurry, but there you go.

Detail of Cobi Cockburn piece

Cobi Cockburn detail

Another favorite artist of the Bullseye Gallery, in addition to Giles Bettison, is Cobi Cockburn.  Both artists happen to be from Australia, as well as Richard Whiteley – also represented by Bullseye Gallery.  Those Aussies have some fantastic artists.  Cobi does a lot of cold working on her pieces, with a lot of wheel engraving to create texture.  It is a lot of work, but it makes for a beautiful piece of art.
